Lake Erie is one of Ohio's most important and valuable treasures. It also provides drinking water to thousands of Ohioans. As a result of meeting with constituents, advocates and members of the legislature from both sides of the aisle, I co-sponsored legislation (SB 299) by Senator Randy Gardner and State Representative Steve Arndt which will provide much-needed resources toward the protection and preservation of Lake Erie, as well as improve the water quality in the Western Basin.
